Family Resource Center
Child Care
Child care is available to moms who are staying at the Emergency Shelter or Second-Stage shelter, accessing groups, other programming, or seeking support from the Outreach team. We will provide a warm and welcoming playroom for your child(ren) where they can feel safe and explore.
We are also here to support you as a parent. We are available to listen and work with you regarding any parenting concerns or questions you may have from potty training to positive behaviour management to bedtime routines and everything in-between. We will work with you and your family to help you strengthen bonds, create structure and routines within a positive and supportive environment.
We provide respite care for mothers so they can attend appointments, meetings or those who are just needing a break. Our hours for respite care are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, excluding Statutory Holidays. Closed 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm for lunch. You are encouraged to contact child care to arrange space for you child(ren) as far in advance as possible as space is limited.
